What is Biblical Counseling?
Biblical Counseling is the wonderful process of allowing God’s Word, the Bible to speak into people’s lives, regardless of their situation. People struggling with the trials and difficulties of life will find that God has something to say about their situation and circumstances and that He cares about their pain or suffering. Through the Scriptures, God reveals life as it truly is and calls us to respond to Him in faith, repentance and obedience. You could say that Biblical counseling is synonymous with intense discipleship. Biblical counseling is thus, counseling dependent of God and the Holy Spirit. Accordingly, our emphasis will always be on the counselor’s interpretation of the Bible. (Ephesians 1:15-23 and 3:14-21).
Is there a charge for counseling?
Grace Biblical Counseling Ministries is a ministry of Grace Church of Dupage that uses trained biblical counselor volunteers and staff to come alongside those who are looking for help and hope through the encouragement of God’s promises in the Bible. There is no charge for counseling services, however, there may be books or materials that the counselor may suggest to assist in the disciple process. Those who have been encouraged by the ministry may contribute to the furtherance of the ministry at no obligation.
