ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Mary has a heart for all women and she has an active speaking ministry to women in all walks of life. In addition to managing her radio ministry and its staff, Mary is also Director of Women’s Ministries for The Moody Church in Chicago, Illinois. She loves to encourage women to see their worth in Christ and challenge them to greater growth in their Christian life and their outreach to others.

If you had to choose one word to describe Mary’s style, it would probably be the word “practical.” She has unique ways to make the Word of God come alive and she always gives very practical teaching that can be readily applied to any woman’s life. Her style is open and vulnerable, Bible-based and relevant. Mary says, “The only thing that will help women in the long term is God’s Word. So, my first objective is not to entertain but to give sound biblical truth in a very easy-to-understand way.”

Introduction to Counterfeit Gods

This winter’s LADIES’ BIBLE STUDY will focus on discovering and dethroning the unperceived idols of the heart as we explore scripture and study through “Counterfeit Gods” by Tim Keller. Idols can be uncovered in good things in our lives which have become ultimate things as well as in bad habits, and negatively defining character traits. Essentially an idol is anything that is more important than God to ones happiness, meaning in life, or identity.

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) is a program for churched and non-churched kids.  Our prayer is that we would come alongside parents in teaching their children the truths of God’s Word that would lead them to trust Christ for salvation and grow them in enduring faith and service to God.
