Celebrations of Grace
Throughout
scripture, God has commanded his people to remember his
works of grace in our lives. This page is a
history of God's faithfulness to us as we seek to
build a gymnasium for God's Glory.

6/26/2007 |
The Elders and
Deacons meet and collectively decide to pursue
this building project. Praise the Lord for
unanimity among the members of the board. |

7/15/2007 |
We can praise the Lord! 10% of the money needed
to fund the project building has been raised
prior to presenting the project to our
congregation.

1/08/2008 |
We had decided
we would give unexpected income towards the
building project. I was skeptical, because
we're on a faith-based missionary salary and we
never know what our income will be. We
decided it had to be money coming to us
unexpectedly and completely separate from our
missionary income.
Well, this is the result! It includes
everything from an extra cash back (above the
normal) from a credit card, an electric rate
relief credit, 3 extra free months at my
exercise place (a story in itself) and payment
for a quilt I made - it was for our cousins and
made with fabric from her mother's dresses.
It was totally a gift made out of love, but she
insisted on paying for it. |

The Sunday we
officially launched the fund raising campaign
for the gym, my wife and I were challenged to
seek God for the amount, an amount out of our
comfort zone, He would have us give. We felt led
to an amount that would really stretch our
budget, if we did not receive any additional
money from other sources. In January I received
a promotion at work and the increase in our
income meets the amount we pledged. We are
confident that not only will we meet our pledge
but that God will allow us to give beyond our
original pledge. Our family can give much
testimony about God providing resources when we
have been led to take action in giving towards
furthering His Kingdom. |
