Greetings
God has placed an
exciting new opportunity before us to build a facility
that supports our Sports Ministry Outreach to
Warrenville and DuPage County, as well as several
existing ministries like AWANA. It's time to build
a gymnasium!
The Elders and Deacons are of one mind on this venture
and, following two open Q&A sessions during the summer
months, the Grace Church family seems very supportive as
well. We have titled the project
Building for God's
Glory,
capturing the essence of our Value Statement #7: Doing
All to the Glory of God. We see it as contributing
to the realization of at least three of our seven Grace
Church Goals.
Sunday, 9 September, in the morning service we plan to
present the vision details of the whole project (there
are several facets), inviting you to begin praying about
ho God would have you involved.
On the two Sundays following the 9 September
presentation we will repeat it in abbreviated fashion,
followed by a brief Q&A, at the start of the ABF hour -
16 September in CE13 with Machaira and
Petros combined, then 23 September in B7-B9 with
Panoplia and Koinonia combined.
Please join us promptly at 9:10 AM on either of these
dates.
Finally, 7 October, will be Kickoff Sunday.
That morning we will receive and offering and pledges as
manifestations of God's early answer to our prayers.
Even now, let's be praying that the Lord will lead us
clearly and smoothly through the process of adding this
new ministry resource. I, for one, am excited to
see how He will use it for His glory! I praise God
that we are
