Growing Covenant Marriages that reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. Matthew 19:4-6 and Ephesians 5:31-33. Marriage Builders began in June of 2007 with two groups, Marriage Builders 1 (for those married less than six years) and Marriage Builders 2 (for those married six + years). Both groups meet twice a month on Thursday evenings. The evening begins with a devotion written by Pastor Daryle Worley. Fun and inspirational homework is assigned to each husband, and a different one for each wife. The groups also participate together in several fellowships.
Marriage Builders 1
This group is facilitated by Don and Dana Larimer and Rick and Cindy Meyers. We began this group in 2007 with seven newly married couples. Subsequent groups remain focused on growing marriages, encouraging one another and building relationships within the body of Christ. To date our groupa have together completed Love and Respect by Dr Emerson Eggerichs, Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas and Intimacy Ignited by Dillow & Pintus. As these young marriages have grown with little ones we’ve added a study on Parenting and Marriage Mentoring.
Marriage Builders 2
This group is facilitated by Don and Dana Larimer and Byron and Mert Tabbut. This group of couples married 5 years or more studies the same texts as the newly married couples. In addition, the next study will be a look at what God’s Word has to say about marriage. Pastor Worley has recommended ten Biblical passages for us to dig in to. God has richly blessed us as we together look to His Word and trust Him to guide us in building healthy, God fearing, Christ centered marriages. We thank Him for the wisdom, experience and willingness of all those who have given selflessly to commit to the marriage covenant as they work alongside other couples.
