Ray & Bobbi: An Update from "To Every Tribe"

Hello, friends!

God has blessed us with another team member that we are thrilled to share about with you!

The year 2020 has been a roller coast for most of the world. With an endless onslaught of uncertainty and tension, what a tremendous blessing for those of us who do not put our trust in men or chariots, but that our hope is in a sovereign God who provides all our needs and finishes what He starts. What great comfort we can find in Him!

And provide He has.

One of the most recent provisions for the ministry was the addition of a new Vice President of Sending & Planting! Over the past six months we have been communicating with and praying for a man that some of us have known for many years with the hopes that he would join us on mission in this role. And to our great delight he has begun his transition to Los Fresnos this month!

The purpose of a VP of Sending & Planting is to:

  • Oversee our current fields to coordinate church-planting among the unreached

  • Maintain communication with our missionaries to gauge spiritual, physical, and mental health

  • Make sure our fields have everything they need to be successful

  • Ensure our fields are ready to accept new missionaries

  • Place our Missionary Trainees into the fields where their gifts will be best used

  • Explore and open new fields

We pray that the addition of Ray will both honor and glorify God and serve our missionaries and fields well.

Ray Glinski has served on mission for many decades. For the past two decades he has served as the Pastor of Missions & Shepherding in DuPage, Illinois. He brings with him a vast knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of planting churches among the unreached. We can’t wait to see how God will bless us through Ray and his wife, Bobbi.

Ray’s resumé is exactly what we love to see in someone seeking to make the name of Jesus great around the world.

A few highlights from Ray’s resumé include:

  • Serving a term in Northern Iraq working with the Kurds

  • Working on a church planting team in Arizona

  • Developing a missions training track to prepare missionaries in his local church

  • Working with and sending teams from his church to serve in many countries around the world

  • In his tenure as a missions pastor, he trained and sent out a missionary from his church every other year for 21 years

  • Developing a capacity to communicate in several languages - Kurdish, Russian, and Armenian

He has been deeply involved in ministries of various kinds for most of his adult life. From local outreach which included sports ministries, special needs ministries, baptism & membership classes, and biblical counseling, to international impacts spanning throughout Europe and Asia, Ray and Bobbi have been serving tirelessly and passionately longer than some of us have been alive. And in all of these areas of ministry, he was not just a participant, but a leader.

These are the kinds of traits and ministry experience that we love to see in regard to a VP of Sending & Planting, and we are excited to have him aboard.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
