Remember and Obey

Parent’s Corner- May 1, 2022


“You shall therefore love the LORD your God and keep his charge, his statutes, his rules, and his commandments always.”  Deuteronomy 11:1


Immediately following the verse above, the text goes on to outline the amazing miracles God did as his people were released from slavery.  Just in case they wondered why they should love the Lord and keep his commandments, they were immediately given many reasons to do just that!


What has the Lord done in our lives and the lives of those around us? Here, too, we will see evidence of God’s greatness and majesty. . . and even more reasons why he should be praised!

Principle- God wants us to trust and praise him for His power..

Ask Your Child- How did the Israelites escape from the Egyptian army?

Apply- By Praising God for His mighty deeds.

This Week- As a family, read Exodus 14-15

Next Week- Exodus 15-17


Children’s Church- God Requires Obedience

Scripture-  Deuteronomy 4

Principle- God requires obedience from His people..

Ask Your Child- How is God glorified through obedience?

Apply- By thanking God for giving laws to guide our lives.
