“Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.  Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”  Psalm 25:4-5

Praying for your kids. . . I’m sure it’s something you do often.

I’ve had the privilege of meeting with a group of women for the last fourteen years or so.  We pray for our children, their teachers, their schools, the other students at the school, the administration. . . if it has to do with the school, we do our best to cover it in prayer.

Our prayer sheets have Bible verses on them with significant words left out.  We are encouraged to pray these verses with our child’s name in them.  Taking the verse above as an example. . .

“Show ____________ Your ways, O Lord, teach ____________ Your paths, guide him/her in Your truth and teach ____________, for you are ______________’s God and Savior, may _____________’s hope be in you all day long.  (from Psalm 25:4-5)

This is a beautiful way to personalize Scripture. . . God’s words to us. . . and our kids should know that they are His words to them as well!

May you find joy in your parenting journey this week!
