“He is the Rock, His work is perfect; all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness without injustice, righteous and upright is He.”

Deuteronomy 32:4

Boundaries.  Guidelines.  Limits.  Lines in the sand.

Sometimes they can provide a great deal of comfort, and sometimes they can lead to frustration!

In our 2s/3s class, the kids learned that even a tall city wall is not strong enough to stand when God wants it to come down.

In our Sunday school classes, we see the guidelines that God ordained in the sacrificial system, designed to give guidance until it wasn’t necessary any more. . . (cue the Sunday school “Jesus!” answer!)

In Children's Church, the kids learned that we need to rely on God’s wisdom to obey Him.

In all of these lessons, we see God’s power on display!

As a family, can you think of examples of a boundary or guideline that is very important to follow, for our safety, and our good?  (driving on the correct side of the road, standing in line and waiting our turn, obeying Mom and Dad and sharing with siblings).

How much more so should we seek to follow the guidelines for obedience that the Lord gives us in the Bible!

This Week in Sunday School. . .
